FS, Zone 4, Blooms late spring - summer, 10’ x 4’, average moisture

We are so happy to finally include a native honeysuckle vine in our offerings. It was originally found in North Carolina and offered by High Contry Gardens . We sourced our Major Wheelers from Leo Berbee Bulb Co. in Ohio.

We planted our native Major Wheeler Honesuckle vine 5 seasons ago. It takes a year or two to really take off. The hummingbirds love this plant! Berries in late summer feed birds.

Grow it on a trellis or cover an unsightly fence line.

DA Planting Notes - We have many many birds around our house and hoophouse! This winter (2025-26) they have to roosting in the dormant vine, it is very dense, and they get some protection.
